I always love to come back to Tuscany. Tuscany weddings are just magical. And what’s more charming than a two days Chianti wedding in one of the most lovely Tuscan villas?
With Fabrizio, who seconded me on this lovely wedding, I joined them in Florence the day before, to shoot the welcome dinner with all the guests in the renowned Ristorante La Loggia in piazzale Michelangelo, the famous terrace from where you can admire a breathtaking view of Florence, which goes from Santa Croce, to Ponte Vecchio, through the Dome and Palazzo Vecchio.
The day of the wedding started of course with the getting ready in the antique suites which are part of the Villa’s ensemble, all immerse in the quiet Tuscan countryside. I held my breath while Penny reached the Terrace, where everybody was waiting for her to join the ceremony. It’s been such a lovely and touching moment.
The sun came and went, giving to the whole scenery kind of a suspended and incredibly poetic atmosphere, which was perfect to take the most intimate and evocative portraits of the bride and groom. We took a quick walk through the olive trees, having fun and capturing the most tender and romantic pictures ever. Meanwhile, the guests enjoyed the aperitif in the amazing garden of the Medici Villa, overlooking the wonderful Tuscan hills.
The al fresco dinner setting was just perfect: sophisticated and relaxed at the same time, with a triumph of white roses, tulips and flowers. Between courses of delicious food, the speeches were as usual the most emotional part: I often find my self blinking a lot to not to miss any smile, hug or tear.
After the lovely outdoor Tuscan dinner, the party continued in the Limonaia, with a lot of fun, music and dances.
I loved so much the whole style of the event, planned by the lovely Alice at Italian Style Weddings, and the couple was just the sweetest ever: I’m in love with love so I couldn’t enjoy more to be there photographing so much beauty, joy and endearment. <3
