Villa Cipressi, in Varenna, is one of the beautiful, understated jewels of Lake Como. It was build between 1400 and 1800, together with the wonderful Villa Monastero and Hotel Royal and their luscious gardens.
This part of Lake Como is for me one of the most poetic and evocative, and I am always extremely happy to return here to photograph events, weddings and couples in this area.
Villa Cipressi has in its name one of the symbols of its beauty: the whole coast it overlooks is in fact dotted with centuries-old cypress trees, which contribute to make this landscape a timeless wonder.
Antonio and Elena’s wedding was one of the first times I worked in the area of Varenna, and I have to thank them to make me discover the loveliest tiny church of Esino Lario, where they celebrated the ceremony with the Catholic rite.
I loved that the bride and groom got back to Italy from Geneva, where they work as researchers, to celebrate their wedding in these wonderful places, with their beautiful baby and their loved ones. It was a real privilege to try to capture all the poetry of their event.
And, without any other delay, the photos. : )
as always, special thanks to Fabrizio for his precious help
