Abruzzo is quickly becoming a location of interest for destination weddings and beauty lovers who want to get married in Italy.
Full of natural and art wonders, it lays in the middle of the Country and has seaside, countryside and mountains.
You can choose to get married in a scattered hotel, like Santo Stefano di Sessanio (Sextantio), gathering all your guests in a timeless hamlet amongst the majestic peaks of Gran Sasso.
Or, for a truly breathtaking view, you can go for the incredible panoramas of Rocca Calascio (set of many movies like one of my favourite, The Name of the Rose, and LadyHawke), or Roccascalegna medieval castle, reachable only by foot, for the most exclusive experience.
Speaking about castles, one of the most renowned venue is definitely Castello di Semivicoli, in the sweetest Abruzzo countryside, surrounded by understated peace and golden vineyards.
Another wonderful option are hermitages and monasteries, like the ones you can find in Majella region. And there are also small enchanting chapels like Oratorio di San Pellegrino, for elopements and intimate weddings, and magnificent abbeys, like Abbazia di San Giovanni.
It’s been really a pleasure to get to Abruzzo, following Fabrizio to shoot the destination wedding of A&J, a lovely couple who flew from UK to celebrate their wedding in Bomarzo, amongst the most beautiful sceneries.
Here you can find a quick selection of my favourite pics of the event. Enjoy! ^^
